A comforting and nostalgic dish featuring creamy potatoes and sweet peas, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh peas (or frozen peas)
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup heavy cream (or coconut milk for dairy-free)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (or olive oil for dairy-free)
  • To taste: Salt
  • To taste: Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by peeling and dicing the potatoes into even-sized pieces. If using fresh peas, shell them; for frozen peas, no prep is needed!
  2. Boil the diced potatoes in a large pot of boiling salted water for about 10-12 minutes until fork-tender. Drain and set aside.
  3. Sauté the peas in the same pot with melted butter over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes until tender.
  4. Combine the drained potatoes back into the pot with the peas, pouring in the cream. Stir to mix.
  5. Season the dish with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Garnish and serve with freshly chopped parsley for added color and flavor.

Notes

For a vegan option, use coconut milk and olive oil.
