  • 3 tablespoons Soy Sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil (or olive oil if unavailable)
  • 8 oz Frozen Dumplings (any variety)
  • 2 packages Instant Ramen Noodles
  • 2 eggs (soft-boiled)
  • 2 cups Fresh Spinach (or bok choy)
  • 2 tablespoons Green Onions (for garnish; optional)
  • 1 tablespoon Black Sesame Seeds (omit or substitute with white sesame seeds)

Instructions

  1. Boil the broth by combining chicken broth and soy sauce in a large pot over medium heat until simmering.
  2. Add the frozen dumplings to the bubbling broth and cook for 5-7 minutes or until heated through.
  3. Incorporate instant ramen noodles into the broth, cooking according to package instructions (usually 3-4 minutes).
  4. Toss in fresh spinach and stir until wilted into the broth.
  5. Soft-Boil the eggs by cooking them in a separate small pot of boiling water for 6-7 minutes, then transfer them to an ice bath before peeling.
  6. Final assembly by ladling broth, noodles, and dumplings into bowls, topping with halved soft-boiled eggs, green onions, and sesame seeds.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh. Store broth and ingredients separately if you have leftovers.
