A hearty and comforting casserole filled with tender sirloin, creamy cheddar cheese, and diced potatoes, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 45 medium potatoes, diced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté onions and garlic until soft.
  3. Add the sliced beef sirloin to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
  4. Layer the diced potatoes in a greased casserole dish followed by the beef mixture.
  5. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Cover the casserole with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

This casserole can be assembled ahead of time and baked when you’re ready to eat. Serve with a salad or crusty bread.
