A delightful cake blending rich coffee with sweet caramel, creating a gooey texture that’s perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brewed coffee, cooled
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. Creaming the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract and cooled brewed coffee.
  4. Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl, then gradually add to the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared cake pan, drizzle half of the caramel sauce on top, and then pour the remaining batter over the caramel.
  6. Drizzle the rest of the caramel sauce on top, and swirl it through the batter with a knife.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow to cool before serving, and top with chocolate chips if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or in the fridge for up to 5 days. This cake also freezes well for up to 3 months.
