Soft, fluffy, and gooey cinnamon rolls topped with a sweet frosting, perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for frosting)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Activate the Yeast: In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast; let it sit for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Mix the Base Ingredients: In a mixer, combine melted butter, sugar, eggs, and salt. Stir in the yeast mixture until well blended.
  3. Form the Dough: Gradually add flour to form a dough. Knead until smooth, then let it rise for about 1 hour.
  4. Roll Out the Dough: Roll out the dough into a rectangle; spread softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon over it.
  5. Shape the Rolls: Roll the dough into a log and cut into slices.
  6. Second Rise: Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise again for 30 minutes.
  7. Bake to Perfection: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  8. Prepare the Frosting: Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  9. Drizzle and Serve: Drizzle frosting over warm rolls and enjoy.

Notes

Serve fresh out of the oven with coffee or orange juice. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
