Festive bars combining rich chocolate, soft marshmallows, and colorful M&M candies, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup M&M candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Mix the melted butter and granulated sugar in a large bowl until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the mini marshmallows on top. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, until the marshmallows are puffed and slightly golden.
  9. Sprinkle the M&M candies over the marshmallows, pressing them gently into the marshmallow layer.
  10. Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars.

Notes

These bars are best served at room temperature. Consider serving them with ice cream or whipped cream.
