Indulge in this delightful twist on the classic Italian dessert, Chocolate Tiramisu, combining rich mascarpone, espresso, and airy whipped cream.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup brewed espresso, cooled
  • 1 package ladyfingers
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate, grated (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Whip the heavy cream and granulated sugar until soft peaks form.
  2. Fold in the mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  3. Dip each ladyfinger into the cooled espresso quickly.
  4. Layer half of the soaked ladyfingers in a dish, then half of the mascarpone mixture, and sprinkle with cocoa powder.
  5. Repeat with the remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone mixture.
  6. Dust with cocoa powder and sprinkle grated dark chocolate on top if desired.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 240 minutes or overnight before serving.

Notes

For a vegan version, substitute mascarpone with coconut cream and sweeten with maple syrup. Use flavored coffees for a unique twist.
