A wonderfully moist and fluffy cake, generously studded with rich chocolate chips, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl. Gradually add to the creamed mixture, alternately with the milk.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For added flavor, try using semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips. Ensure to cool the cake properly to achieve the desired texture.
