Crispy and golden pork belly chicharrones, perfect as a snack or a topping for your favorite dishes, bringing together family and friends.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs pork belly, cut into large pieces
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Add the pork belly to a large pot and cover it with water. Season generously with salt.
  2. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to simmer until fat renders.
  3. Increase the heat to medium-high to crisp the pork belly until it is golden brown.
  4. Remove from heat and let the chicharrones cool slightly to achieve the perfect crunch.
  5. Serve cut into bite-sized pieces with fresh lime wedges on the side.

Notes

For extra flavor, add crushed garlic or herbs while boiling. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature.
