  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare your apples by preheating the oven to 350°F (175°C). Wash and slice apples, removing any bruised areas.
  2. Mix the sliced apples with sugar and cinnamon in a large bowl. Toss until evenly coated.
  3. Add melted butter and lemon juice to the apple mixture and stir to coat.
  4. Create a flour mixture by whisking flour and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Combine by pouring the apple mixture into a buttered baking dish and sprinkling the flour mixture on top.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the apples are tender and the top is golden brown.
  7. Cool for a few minutes before serving warm or at room temperature.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for a delightful treat. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
