A comforting dish featuring crispy baby potatoes and savory smoked sausage, all coated in melted cheddar cheese and ranch seasoning.

  • 1 pound smoked sausage
  • 2 pounds baby potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Optional: sour cream for serving
  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. Prepare a large baking dish by lightly greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  3. Combine halved or quartered potatoes, sliced smoked sausage, olive oil, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper in a large bowl.
  4. Spread the mixture onto the prepared baking dish in a single layer.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes until melted.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with sour cream if desired.

Notes

For extra crispiness, consider parboiling the potatoes for about 10 minutes before baking. Customize the seasoning by swapping ranch for taco seasoning for a different flavor.
