A simple yet sophisticated side dish combining the natural sweetness of carrots with honey and butter for a delightful flavor experience.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound baby carrots (or regular carrots, peeled and cut into sticks)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper
  • to garnish Fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Prepare the carrots by thoroughly washing them. If using regular carrots, peel and slice into sticks.
  2. Heat the pan by adding olive oil and butter to a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Sauté the carrots in the skillet, tossing gently for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add the honey over the softened carrots, stirring to coat them.
  5. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper, stirring well.
  6. Continue cooking for another 5-7 minutes until the carrots are glazed and caramelized.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, try adding a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg. You can also incorporate toasted nuts for crunch.
