A delightful cake that marries the rich flavors of crème brûlée with crunchy pecans, all drizzled with luscious caramel.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a cake pan to ensure your cake releases easily when it’s time to serve.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with the heavy cream.
  6. Stir in the vanilla extract and chopped pecans.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool before drizzling with caramel sauce.
  9. Slice into your beautiful creation and serve.

Notes

Pair with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream and great with coffee.
