Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pieces eggs
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1.5 teaspoons Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon onion powder (heaping)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning
  • 0.75 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon red chili flakes (or to taste)
  • 0.67 cup chicken bone broth or vegetable broth, low sodium
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  1. Boil the eggs in a pot filled with water until hard-boiled, about 10 minutes, then plunge them into cold water.
  2. Sauté the minced garlic in melted butter over medium heat until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Mix Old Bay seasoning, sugar, onion powder, lemon pepper, paprika, and red chili flakes into the sautéed garlic.
  4. Add the broth, scraping the bottom of the pan, and let the mixture come to a gentle simmer.
  5. Flavor the boiled eggs in the simmering broth, allowing them to soak for 5 minutes.
  6. Remove the eggs, drizzle with lemon juice, and sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
