A simple yet extraordinary brown sugar ham glaze that elevates holiday hams with sweetness and spice.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, ground cinnamon, and ground cloves. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
  2. Simmer and Thicken: Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.
  3. Cool Before Use: Remove from heat and allow it to cool slightly before using it to glaze your ham during the last 30 minutes of cooking.

Notes

For a thicker glaze, simmer longer while stirring to prevent sticking. Adjust sweetness with more honey or brown sugar.
