Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices of brioche bread
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Butter for frying
  • Maple syrup for serving
  • Powdered sugar for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Whisk the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon in a bowl until well combined.
  2. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a pat of butter.
  3. Dip each slice of brioche into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side.
  4. Place the soaked bread on the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Serve warm with maple syrup and a dusting of powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

For added crunch, sprinkle sugar on the bread while it cooks. You can also use challah or regular thick bread as a substitute for brioche.
