A festive and eye-catching appetizer that combines creamy Brie cheese and tart cranberry sauce in flaky puff pastry.

Ingredients

  • Brie Cheese: 1 round (about 8 ounces), room temperature
  • Cranberry Sauce: 1 cup, homemade or store-bought
  • Puff Pastry: 1 sheet, thawed
  • Egg: 1, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Fresh Rosemary: 2 sprigs, chopped
  • Walnuts: 1/2 cup, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to smooth out any creases.
  3. Cut the pastry into a large circle, about 12 inches in diameter.
  4. Place the Brie cheese in the center of the pastry circle.
  5. Spread the cranberry sauce over the top of the Brie.
  6. Sprinkle chopped rosemary and walnuts (if using) over the cranberry sauce.
  7. Fold the edges of the pastry over the cheese, creating a wreath shape, and pinch to seal.
  8. Brush the pastry with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
  10. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm, alongside crackers or sliced baguette. Garnish with additional sprigs of rosemary if desired.
