BBQ Ranch Chicken & Sausage Pasta

A comforting one-pot pasta dish packed with smoky sausage, tender chicken, and creamy ranch flavors.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
  • 12 oz penne or rotini pasta
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Olive oil
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Sauté the sliced sausage, diced onion, and bell pepper in a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat until tender, about 5–7 minutes.
  2. Add in the shredded chicken, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2–3 minutes until heated through.
  3. Stir in the chicken broth, barbecue sauce, ranch dressing, and uncooked pasta. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to simmer for 10–12 minutes until pasta is al dente.
  4. Mix in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted into a creamy sauce.
  5. Serve warm and garnish with chopped fresh cilantro or parsley.

Notes

Add garlic bread or a crisp green salad to complete your meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
