A hearty pasta dish combining smoky sausage, tender chicken, and creamy barbecue ranch sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners.

  • 1 lb cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
  • 12 oz penne or rotini pasta
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Olive oil
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Sauté the sausage and vegetables in olive oil until tender (about 5–7 minutes).
  2. Add the chicken along with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Continue cooking for another 2–3 minutes.
  3. Combine chicken broth, barbecue sauce, ranch dressing, and uncooked pasta. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10–12 minutes.
  4. Melt in the shredded cheddar cheese until creamy.
  5. Serve warm, garnished with cilantro or parsley if desired.

Notes

Feel free to use pre-cooked chicken for a quicker meal. Adjust barbecue sauce and ranch dressing to taste.
