Savory bacon wrapped around crunchy water chestnuts, drizzled with a sweet and tangy sauce.

  • 1 can (8 ounces) water chestnuts
  • 1 pound center cut bacon
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Toothpicks

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Drain the water chestnuts and pat them dry with paper towels.
  3. Cut the bacon slices into thirds.
  4. Wrap each water chestnut with a piece of bacon and secure it with a toothpick.
  5. Line a baking sheet with foil and spray it with non-stick cooking spray.
  6. Arrange the bacon-wrapped water chestnuts in a single layer on the prepared sheet.
  7. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes.
  8. Combine ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce in a saucepan over medium heat and stir until the sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes.
  9. Remove the baking sheet and spoon the sauce over each piece.
  10. Return the pan to the oven and bake for an additional 25 minutes.
  11. Transfer to a serving platter and serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat at 350°F for about 10 minutes.
