Delightfully crunchy and perfectly seasoned, these Asian Chicken Lettuce Wraps are a fun and interactive meal that everybody loves.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1/2 cup water chestnuts, diced
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 head of lettuce (such as butter or iceberg) for wraps

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Cook the ground chicken until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and diced water chestnuts; cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped green onions.
  6. Scoop the chicken mixture into individual lettuce leaves and enjoy.

Notes

These wraps are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Consider adding peanuts or sesame seeds for extra crunch.
