  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup diced apples (peeled)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk.
  6. Fold in the diced apples gently.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  8. Bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
