Satisfying turkey burgers made in the air fryer for a healthier twist on the classic dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450 g) ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup (50 g) breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (plus extra for brushing)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh herbs, chopped (such as parsley, cilantro, or thyme)
  • Grated cheese (optional)
  • Diced vegetables (optional)
  • Additional spices (optional)
  • Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • Mustard or ketchup (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients in a large mixing bowl and combine them gently without overmixing to keep the burgers tender.
  2. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a patty. Make a small indentation in the center of each to help them cook evenly.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes to ensure it’s hot and ready for cooking.
  4. Brush the air fryer basket with olive oil to prevent sticking, then place the patties in a single layer without overcrowding.
  5. Air fry the patties for 12 to 15 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time to achieve a golden brown exterior on both sides.
  6. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) for safe consumption. Use a meat thermometer to verify the burgers are fully cooked. If needed, add more cooking time in short intervals.
  7. Serve immediately with your favorite toppings and sides.

Notes
