Transform fresh pineapple into delicious, caramelized chunks using an air fryer for a delightful tropical treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium fresh pineapple (about 3 cups chunks)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or coconut oil
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pineapple by slicing off the top and bottom, removing the tough outer skin, and cutting it into bite-sized chunks.
  2. Season the pineapple chunks with olive oil, ground cinnamon, honey or maple syrup, and salt; toss to coat.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C), then air fry the pineapple chunks for 8-10 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  4. Serve the pineapple chunks on a platter, optionally garnished with more cinnamon.

Notes

Serve warm as a topping for yogurt or ice cream, or alongside grilled meats. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
