Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces fettuccine or linguine

  • 1 cup lump crab meat, drained and flaked
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken or seafood broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a large pot, add salt generously, then cook the fettuccine or linguine until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Remember to reserve a cup of pasta water for later!
  2. Heat olive oil over medium heat in another pot, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Stir in chicken or seafood broth and heavy cream, mix well and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Incorporate shrimp and crab meat, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook until shrimp turns pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Drain the pasta and mix it into the sauce until well-coated, adding reserved pasta water as needed.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and combined, adjust seasoning if necessary.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving hot.

Notes

Ensure shrimp are fresh and smell like the ocean. Don’t rush the garlic sautéing process for maximum flavor.
