Triple Chocolate Mousse Domes

A delightful dessert combining dark, milk, and white chocolate in stunning dome shapes. Perfect for special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 4 oz dark chocolate
  • 4 oz milk chocolate
  • 4 oz white chocolate
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup soft sponge cake or crisp base

Instructions

  1. Melt the dark chocolate in a bowl over simmering water. Let it cool slightly.
  2. Whip half of the heavy cream to soft peaks and fold it into the melted dark chocolate.
  3. Repeat the melting and folding process for the milk and white chocolate.
  4. In a mixer, whip the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy, then add the vanilla extract.
  5. Fold the whipped egg mixture into the dark chocolate mousse, then add the milk chocolate, followed by the white chocolate.
  6. In dome molds, alternate layers of the mousse mixtures and allow them to set in the fridge for a few hours.
  7. Once set, remove the domes from the molds and serve on a base of sponge cake or a crisp base.

Notes

Serve chilled, garnished with whipped cream or chocolate shavings. Store in the refrigerator for up to three days.
