  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Rice paper wrappers
  • Vegetables for filling (e.g., cucumber, carrots, bell pepper)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Add minced garlic, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and black pepper; stir until well combined and let the mixture simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and gently mix in the fresh basil leaves.
  4. Soak rice paper wrappers in warm water for about 10 seconds until they are soft and pliable.
  5. Layer your choice of vegetables on the softened wrapper, add a spoonful of the beef mixture, and roll tightly, tucking in the sides.
  6. Serve immediately with dipping sauce.
