A delightful bowl of teriyaki salmon, sushi rice, avocado, and cucumber, combining flavors and textures effortlessly.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sushi rice
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1 lb salmon fillet
  • 3 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
  • 1/2 cucumber, sliced
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Soy sauce, for serving

Instructions

  1. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Combine the rice and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 20 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and let sit for another 10 minutes.
  4. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium heat. Brush the salmon fillet with teriyaki sauce, then place it in the pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side.
  5. Fluff the cooked rice and divide it among serving bowls.
  6. Top each bowl with slices of the grilled salmon, cucumber, and avocado.
  7. Sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve with additional soy sauce.

Notes

Make sure to rinse the rice thoroughly for perfect sushi rice. Marinate the salmon in teriyaki sauce for deeper flavor.
