2 cups sliced strawberries

3 Tablespoons water
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
½ cup heavy cream
8 ounces mascarpone cheese
½ cup sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon lemon zest
Instructions
Make the Strawberry Sauce: In a small mixing bowl, stir together â…“ cup strawberry jam, 3 tablespoons water, and 1 tablespoon lemon juice until well combined.
Prepare the Creamy Filling: In a medium-sized mixing bowl, beat together 8 ounces of mascarpone cheese, ½ cup of heavy cream, ½ cup of sugar, ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1 teaspoon of lemon zest for about 2 minutes until thick and creamy.
Dip the Ladyfingers: Dip 12 ladyfinger cookies one at a time into the strawberry sauce and lay them out in a single layer in an 8×8 square baking dish.
Spread half of the creamy filling over the ladyfingers and scatter half of the sliced strawberries on top.
Create a Second Layer: Repeat the first layer with the remaining cookies, filling, and strawberries.
Cover and Chill: Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 8 hours.
