A refreshing twist on the classic tiramisu, combining layers of ladyfingers, creamy mascarpone, and fresh strawberries.

  • 2 cups sliced strawberries
  • â…“ cup strawberry jam
  • 3 Tablespoons water
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 8 ounces mascarpone cheese
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest

Instructions

  1. Make the Strawberry Sauce: In a small mixing bowl, stir together â…“ cup strawberry jam, 3 tablespoons water, and 1 tablespoon lemon juice until well combined.
  2. Prepare the Creamy Filling: In a medium-sized mixing bowl, beat together 8 ounces of mascarpone cheese, ½ cup of heavy cream, ½ cup of sugar, ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 1 teaspoon of lemon zest for about 2 minutes until thick and creamy.
  3. Dip the Ladyfingers: Dip 12 ladyfinger cookies one at a time into the strawberry sauce and lay them out in a single layer in an 8×8 square baking dish.
  4. Spread half of the creamy filling over the ladyfingers and scatter half of the sliced strawberries on top.
  5. Create a Second Layer: Repeat the first layer with the remaining cookies, filling, and strawberries.
  6. Cover and Chill: Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 8 hours.

Notes

For best results, chill the dessert overnight. Serve chilled with a sprig of fresh mint or cocoa powder on top.
