Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup brewed coffee, cooled
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 24 ladyfingers
  • 2 cups strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Whip the creamy mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip until smooth and fluffy.
  2. Soak the ladyfingers: Dip ladyfingers briefly in the cooled coffee, then layer them at the bottom of a serving dish.
  3. Spread the creamy layer: Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  4. Add the strawberries: Layer half of the sliced strawberries on top of the mascarpone.
  5. Repeat the layers: Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients to build a stunning dessert.
  6. Chill it out: Refrigerate for at least 240 minutes to set.
  7. Garnish for flair: Before serving, garnish with chocolate shavings or cocoa powder if desired.

Notes

To prevent the ladyfingers from becoming too soggy, dip them in coffee for just a second or two. Substitute strawberries with other fruits if desired.
