  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 13×9 inch baking pan.
  2. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Mix the softened butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract into the dry ingredients. Mix until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool the cake completely on a wire rack.
