A delightful dessert that harmoniously marries salty, sweet, and fruity flavors, this Strawberry Pretzel Salad is perfect for summer BBQs and family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups pretzel sticks
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (Cool Whip)
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 (6 oz) package strawberry Jell-O

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the Pretzel Crust: In a mixing bowl, combine pretzel sticks, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Mix until the pretzels are nicely coated. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish and bake for 10 minutes. Allow to cool completely.
  3. Make the Cream Cheese Filling: Beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth. Fold in the whipped topping gently and spread over the cooled crust.
  4. Create the Strawberry Layer: Mix the sliced strawberries with the strawberry Jell-O powder and boiling water until dissolved. Let it cool slightly before pouring it evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  5. Chill and Set: Refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight if possible) to allow the layers to set.

Notes

Pairs well with vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of chocolate syrup. Store leftovers covered in the fridge for up to 3 days.
