Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups pretzels, crushed
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 package (6 oz) strawberry gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Create the pretzel base by combining crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 1/4 cup of sugar; mix well and press into a 9×13 inch baking pan, then bake for 10 minutes.
  3. Whip together cream cheese and 1 cup of sugar until smooth; fold in whipped topping.
  4. Prepare the strawberry layer by dissolving gelatin in boiling water, then fold in sliced strawberries and let cool.
  5. Assemble by spreading cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust, then pour strawberry mixture on top, cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Notes

Consider crushing the pretzels finer for a denser crust. For a unique twist, swap strawberries for raspberries or blueberries.
