Decadent molten chocolate cakes with a gooey center, topped with fresh strawberries.

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • Fresh strawberries for topping
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease four ramekins with unsalted butter and dust with flour.
  2. Melt the butter and chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Whisk together eggs, egg yolks, and granulated sugar until creamy and light.
  4. Gradually add the melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture, stirring gently.
  5. Fold in the all-purpose flour until just combined.
  6. Evenly pour the batter into the prepared ramekins, filling three-quarters full.
  7. Bake for 12-14 minutes until edges are firm but centers remain soft.
  8. Let cool for 1 minute, then invert each ramekin onto a plate.
  9. Serve warm with fresh strawberries and powdered sugar.

Notes

For a richer flavor, you can use chocolate with higher cocoa content. Serve with ice cream for an indulgent treat.
