  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup strawberry jam
  • 1 cup chocolate kisses, unwrapped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, and salt, then gradually add to the butter mixture until the dough forms.
  5. Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Press a thumbprint into each ball and fill with strawberry jam.
  7. Bake for about 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden.
  8. Immediately press a chocolate kiss into each cookie after removing from the oven.
  9. Allow to cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
