A comforting dish that combines tender steak bites with creamy garlic butter Alfredo sauce and shell pasta, perfect for a quick and indulgent meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 8 ounces shell pasta
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a rolling boil. Add the shell pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve about ¼ cup of pasta water.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak bites with salt and pepper. Sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned. Transfer cooked steak to a plate.
  3. Lower heat to medium and add remaining tablespoon of olive oil and butter to the skillet. Allow butter to melt.
  4. Stir in minced garlic and cook for about a minute, stirring constantly.
  5. Gradually pour in heavy cream while whisking continuously. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Add grated Parmesan cheese and whisk until melted and smooth. If sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water to adjust.
  7. Toss cooked pasta into the sauce until well coated.
  8. Add seared steak bites back to the skillet and heat through for another minute.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For a well-seasoned steak, let it come to room temperature before cooking. Stir the sauce continuously to avoid lumps when adding cheese.
