Delightful Spicy Wontons wrapped in a savory filling and tossed in chili sauce, perfect for gatherings or as an inviting appetizer.

Ingredients

  • Wonton wrappers
  • Ground pork or chicken
  • Green onions, chopped
  • Garlic, minced
  • Ginger, minced
  • Soy sauce
  • Sesame oil
  • Chili sauce
  • Cornstarch
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Flavorful Filling: In a large bowl, combine the ground meat with the chopped green onions, minced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Use your hands or a spatula to mix until everything is evenly blended.
  2. Assemble the Wontons: Take a wonton wrapper and place a small spoonful of your filling in the center. Fold the wrapper in half to create a triangle, pressing to seal.
  3. Cook the Wontons: Bring a pot of water to a boil or set up your steaming basket. Carefully place the wontons in the boiling water or steaming basket. Cook until the wontons are tender and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Toss in the Spicy Sauce: In a pan, gently heat your chili sauce over medium heat. Toss the cooked wontons in the sauce to coat them beautifully.
  5. Serve Hot and Enjoy: Plate the wontons and garnish with sesame seeds or green onions. Enjoy the delightful flavors!
