A delightful and comforting spaghetti pie that transforms leftover pasta into a warm, cheesy dish, perfect for family dinners or cozy nights.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound ground beef or sausage
  • 1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 large eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Add ground meat, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  5. Stir in marinara sauce and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. In a bowl, combine cooked spaghetti, eggs, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese. Mix until well combined.
  7. Grease a pie dish and layer the spaghetti mixture on the bottom and up the sides.
  8. Pour the meat sauce into the center of the spaghetti crust.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until set and golden on top.
  10. Let sit for a few minutes, garnish with fresh basil if desired, and slice to serve.

Notes

For best results, do not overcook the pasta, and feel free to customize with veggies or different types of meat.
