  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk, cold

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Cut in the cold, cubed butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Make a well in the center of the mixed ingredients and pour in the cold buttermilk.
  5. Stir gently until just combined.
  6. Knead the dough gently on a floured surface a few times until it comes together.
  7. Shape the dough into a rectangle about 1 inch thick and cut out biscuits using a round cutter.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Serve warm with your favorite toppings.
