These Soft Cookies are a warm, gooey treat filled with chocolate chips, perfect for sharing or enjoying with coffee.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the flour and baking soda in a medium bowl and set aside.
  3. Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and eggs, beating until smooth.
  5. Mix in the dry ingredients gradually until combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Shape rounded balls of dough and place them on a baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  9. Cool on wire racks before enjoying.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or a glass of cold milk. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
