Delicious cookies with a crispy outside and gooey chocolatey center, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup crushed nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; whisk to combine.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture until just blended.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and optional crushed nuts.
  7. Drop rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets, leaving space for spreading.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are soft.
  9. Cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to a week or freeze for up to three months.
