Creamy and cheesy scalloped potatoes that are the ultimate comfort food, perfect for family gatherings and holiday feasts.

Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Sauté the butter and add the onions and garlic until softened.
  3. Mix the heavy cream and milk, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  4. Layer the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish, adding cream and cheese in between layers.
  5. Repeat the layering until all ingredients are used, finishing with cheese on top.
  6. Bake covered for 45 minutes.
  7. Bake uncovered for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Rest for a few minutes before serving, garnished with parsley.

Notes

For a richer flavor, consider adding different types of cheese or herbs. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
