Indulge in these rich and chewy cookies that taste like cheesecake drizzled with salted caramel.

  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/4 cup coarse sea salt (for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Beat the cream cheese, butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the caramel sauce.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Drizzle additional caramel sauce on top and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
  10. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For extra caramel flavor, consider adding small caramel pieces to the dough.
