  • 4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • Raisins or other dried fruits (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a large pot, combine the rinsed rice, milk, sugar, and salt.
  3. Heat the pot over medium heat, bringing the mixture to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and let the pudding simmer gently for about 20-25 minutes until the rice is tender.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract and cinnamon if using.
  6. Serve warm or chilled, topped with raisins or dried fruits if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days and add a splash of milk when reheating.
