Ravioli Lasagna Casserole

A convenient and comforting twist on traditional lasagna using frozen ravioli, ground beef, and gooey melted cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ½ teaspoon minced garlic
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 24 ounces jar spaghetti sauce, divided
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 16 ounces square frozen ravioli
  • Chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with garlic and seasonings. Drain excess fat.
  3. Reserve 1 cup of spaghetti sauce. Combine the rest with the browned beef and heat through.
  4. Spray an 8×8 inch baking dish with non-stick spray. Spread ½ cup of reserved sauce on the bottom.
  5. Layer one-third of the frozen ravioli over the sauce.
  6. Spread half of the beef mixture over the ravioli.
  7. Sprinkle ½ cup of mozzarella cheese over the beef.
  8. Add another one-third of the ravioli.
  9. Top with the remaining beef mixture.
  10. Sprinkle another ½ cup of mozzarella cheese over the beef.
  11. Place the final one-third of ravioli on top.
  12. Spread the remaining ½ cup of sauce over the ravioli.
  13. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese on top.
  14. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  15. Garnish with parsley before serving hot.

Notes

This casserole can be prepared ahead of time and stored properly. Try adding sautéed vegetables for extra nutrition.
