A delicious twist on traditional cabbage rolls, this casserole combines savory ground meat, tangy tomatoes, and tender cabbage into a one-dish wonder perfect for cozy dinners.

  • 1 head of cabbage, chopped
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14 oz)
  • 1 can tomato sauce (8 oz)
  • 1 cup beef or vegetable broth
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Sauté the diced onion and minced garlic over medium heat until translucent.
  3. Add the ground beef or turkey to the skillet, cooking it until browned.
  4. Stir in the chopped cabbage, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, broth, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish, optionally sprinkling cheese on top.
  6. Place the casserole in your preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  7. Let your casserole cool slightly before serving.

Notes
