A rich and creamy butter chicken dish that is quick and easy to prepare, perfect for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter chicken spice mix (or a blend of garam masala, paprika, and cumin)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Sauté the chopped onion, garlic, and ginger until golden and fragrant.
  3. Stir in the chicken pieces and cook until lightly browned.
  4. Add the tomato sauce and butter chicken spice mix; stir well.
  5. Reduce the heat and pour in the heavy cream; mix until combined.
  6. Let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
  7. Season with salt to taste and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.

Notes

Serve with basmati rice or naan for a complete meal. Can store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
