Ingredients
Scale
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 cups pretzel crumbs
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon honey
Salt and pepper to taste
Cooking oil for frying
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
Set up a breading station: Place the flour in one bowl, beat the eggs in another bowl, and place the pretzel crumbs in a third bowl.
Dip each chicken breast in flour, then in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with pretzel crumbs.
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the breaded chicken until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and bake for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
For the sauce, mix cheddar cheese, Dijon mustard, mayonnaise, and honey in a small saucepan over low heat until the cheese melts and the sauce is warm.
Serve the chicken with the cheddar mustard sauce drizzled on top.
Notes
Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying for a golden crust. For extra flavor, add spices like garlic powder or paprika to the pretzel crumbs.
