Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Combine the ground beef, uncooked rice, egg, chopped onion, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a large bowl. Mix well and form into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  2. In a large skillet, combine the tomato sauce and water. Stir well and bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat.
  3. Carefully place the formed meatballs into the simmering sauce. Cover the skillet and reduce heat to low, cooking gently for about 30-40 minutes, until cooked through and rice is tender.
  4. Serve your plump Porcupine Meatballs over rice, noodles, or mashed potatoes. Enjoy!
