A warm, comforting dessert that combines soft bread and sweet peaches, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of bread, cubed
  • 2 cups of peaches, diced
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup of butter, melted
  • Ice cream or caramel sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cubed bread and diced peaches.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and melted butter.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the bread and peaches, stirring gently to combine.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and set.
  7. Serve warm with ice cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce.

Notes

For richer flavor, use brioche or challah bread. Add nuts for crunch or mix in other fruits like berries or apples.
